Plateau State University (PLASU) is set to establish a College of Medicine and Surgery in collaboration with Freidburg University, Germany. The institution is expected to commence operations in November this year, marking a significant step toward advancing medical education in the state.
This initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Plateau State Government and Freidburg University, aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare system and fostering academic excellence.
A delegation from Freidburg University, led by Associate Professor Peter Asaga, recently visited PLASU to inspect the temporary site designated for the college. After assessing the facilities, the team expressed confidence in the existing infrastructure and committed to equipping the institution with cutting-edge medical tools and technology.
The collaboration is expected to position PLASU as a leading hub for medical education, enhancing its global reputation while providing students with world-class training and expertise.
